What are the chances of walking down the street and running into someone that you know in a city like New York with inhabitants over 8,000,000, and over 1,650,000 living in Manhattan.

I was startled when someone tapped on my shoulder in the busy Times Square Subway station during rush hour. I turn round. I saw a familiar face, but who was it. I knew he is a friend. I saw him often, but at that moment. I cannot recall his name.

I am sure it happens to most of us, especially during rush hours in NYC, our single focus is to get to wherever we wanted to be. We block out anything else for the Mad rush to get into the train, dash down the stairs to different level, not to mention the trademark of New Yorkers at rush hours, brushing by each other with no apologize.

It would be nice to have some electronic device to identify them, like a nametag? Just a thought.
