No rumors, it is actually here. Samsung and Panasonic started selling sets already, glasses included of course. Not knowing how many pairs will be included with the set.
What’s the point on having a 3-D TV when programming is not readily available. Remember my blog about my cell phone. I got one and can’t can anyone?
I am not sure if I want to wear 3-D glasses to watch a TV show or a movie all the time either. Watching programming with faces wearing 3-D glasses may promote nightmare. I rather wait till 3-D technology does not acquire glasses wearing before I will trade in my HD set.
In order to make 3-D TV any other mega hit, the manufacturers also need to get the game developer to embrace the idea, the reception so far does not seems to be encouraging. Perhaps it is cost prohibited from happening; or the involvement is not having fat bottom line? Or the cost of the set too high for gamers?
Until now, all the hot successful technologies on the market on require the replacement or purchases of expensive components, like bigger TV, better sound systems, blue ray, heavy head helmet for multi player games etc, The game industries was successful on that pursuit, for them not to embrace the new craze of 3-D technology seem strange. What do you think?
However the 3-D TV’s saving grace maybe the Porn industries, I am not kidding, weren’t they the one that started the whole video revolution and more? On the other hand social networks could be another crusader. How cool it is if I can see my friends in 3-D on large screen. I can’t wait.
Wow. The price for a 43” 3-D TV is cheaper than the flat screen HD when it was first introduced to the market, back at the stone age? You know I got one then, even with very limited HD TV broadcast channel, as always.
Therefore I think the manufacturer should forget about the gamers, instead concentrate on consumer like myself, whom like new gadgets, and can afford their ridicules price. They may have a hug hit on hand. Sell me on the idea to get one today. I am listening.
Penny for you thought.
