More Regulations

The Democratic lawmakers wrote to Face book express concern and demand changes in their privacy policy are they for real?

Face book is a social network business that is built on the idea of connections. If the lawmakers want to stop Face book from sharing personal information, perhaps should start with educating subscriber to fill out their personal information. Face book is a “SOCIAL NETWORK” Last time I check “ Social” is always refers to the interaction of organisms with other organisms and to their collective co-existence, irrespective of whether they are aware of it or not, voluntary or involuntary
Are these lawmakers morons or watch dogs want to be?

I agreed there should be some monitoring, but lately all I heard in the news is our government want more rules, more controls and more regulations. It echoes across all level of the society. What happen to our personal freedom of choice? Are we turning in to a police state? Big brother had to watch over our every move? Is this life imitating a reality show?

While this lawmaker’s concern may be genuine, I do not want my personal information accessible to general public either. However I disagree on proposing more regulations to our free enterprising ventures.

A lot of these people using face book are exhitionists. They wanted to share their private life in the public subconsciously. That is why site like Face Book, You Tube as well as My Spaces acquired such popularity. The others are naïve individuals with little life experience to understand the long-term damage of these sites could impact their life. They wanted their opinion expressed, and their personal information for all to see. That is their choice.

So, what’s the point of this blog? I am not your big brother, and have neither right nor opinion on your decision to share your personal information with the rest of the world. I think the lawmakers should stay out of this issue. This is a decision best left to each individual. Similarly to the abortion and gay marriage issues lawmakers should stay out of it, either they agree on it or not. What is your thought on the subject?

The public was well informed of the danger associated with lack of security on these network sites. The approach is to use it with caution, do not carry on personal conversation online; rather email is a much better alternative. Post general Further more, why on earth you fill out your profile for the world to see anyway. It is not a subscription requirement, unless you are an exhibitionist as I suspected all along.

Therefore big brother lawmakers give me a break. Don't you have better thing to deal with, like the budget of the MTA?
