For years, we fell into the trap of Valentines Day ritual and went bankrupt over it. We had no choice but to go with the flow, or we will be in the doghouse for weeks or may be even months “alone” on the couch.
However during this economic time, I discover the secret of romance is simplicity. A first Valentine with my special someone normally is a bouquet of roses, an expensive night out, may be even more gifts. Break the bank, and may not be memorable.
Instead, a date navigates thru the halls of the famed Metropolitan museum at ease can easily impress your date, also allows you to make observation if you are dating some one have their own point of view or just agreeing with you.
Dressing smartly always gets extra points. Just make sure the focus is on your date. Window-shopping down Madison ave, and dinner at neighborhood restaurant not only saves you money, it allows you to have most time together. Even just a warm cup of chocolate in a snowy winter afternoon, makes you appears to be more creative, sensitive, and therefore a more desirable partner to your date, granted if you do not get lost trying to find your way around.
At least these are my experience, and I had one of my best Valentines ever. Care to share yours.
